Bingo
Bingo first appeared in its modern format in the early
1800s, but its history can be traced back to 15th century
Italy. It was the British gaming act of 1960 that first
authorised the opening of commercial bingo clubs across
the United Kingdom, and though the illegal form of the
game had flourished before that time, it was this act
that marked bingos introduction in to mainstream culture.
Bingo is now played legally in America, Australia, New
Zealand, The Isle of man, South Africa and Gibraltar
amongst other places.
Once more, you can read our in depth guide to bingo
on a dedicated site to the subject, which also includes
a bulletin board and links to some of the online bingo
games that are now available.
